Yoshio Satoh came to the United States in 1972, where he did design and production work at Fitzhugh Scott & Partners of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for a period of one year. He began work in the United States as an architect at the San Francisco firm of ANSHEN&ALLEN. There he gained experience in production as well as design work and was responsible for the scheduling and coordination of work with clients, contractors, consultants, municipal authorities and project managers. In 1981, Mr. Satoh joined WHISLER-PATRI of San Francisco as the Director of Construction Administration. His responsibilities entailed managing architectural teams for a number of projects and assuring that these projects were completed within the scheduled construction period and budget. In addition, he was responsible for the coordination of general contractors, consulting engineers, municipal authorities and financial institutions. In 1983, Mr. Satoh came to Los Angeles where he joined TAKENAKA INTERNATIONAL (U.S.A) Ltd. as the director of Design and Marketing. Supervising a sizable staff, Mr. Satoh was responsible for all aspects of coordinating projects ranging from $1.5 to $12 million. In 1988, Mr. Satoh Established his own firm, Satoh Brothers International Inc. A design-build firm, the company provides its varied clientele with feasibility studies, architectural design, construction management and consulting.
